배산임수 터에 자리잡은 전통한옥 • 장 락 원

“오랫동안 즐거움이 머무는 곳”이라는 뜻의 장락원은 뒤로는 수려한 장락산이 병풍처럼 둘러져 있고, 

앞으로는 맑고 깨끗한 홍천강이 흐르는 넓은 정원에 자리잡고 있습니다.

잠실에서 옮겨온 고택

살아 숨쉬는 고택에서 우리 전통한옥의 아름다움과 살림살이를 직접 체험해 볼 수 있습니다.

백제고분로에 있었던 200년 넘는 경기도 전통한옥(성춘제)과 풍납토성에 있었던 150년 넘는 전통한옥(천리제)을 

1984년에 목수와 장인의 손을 빌려 4년간 짜 맞춰 복원을 완료했습니다. 

장락원은 우리 전통한옥의 아름다움을 많은 사람들과 공유하고 사람이 함께 살아 숨 쉬는 고택을 만들고자 탄생하게 되었습니다.

산과 강 그리고 소나무 숲 속의 휴식

장락원은 완전한 휴식을 위한 장소입니다.이 곳에 머무시는 동안은 바쁜 도시생활로 인해 소홀할 수 밖에 없었던 자신을 돌보고

또 함께 살아가는 다른 이들의 아름다움에 대해 생각해보는 여유를 가져보셨으면 좋겠습니다.

Jangnakwon is surrounded by nothing but the nature with back to the mountain and facing the Lake. 

 As it is named after Mt.Jangnak which means 'Long-lasting happiness', we would like to be the place with Endless Delight to our guests.

 LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND AND ENTER A REALM WHERE TIME DOESN’T EXIST

There are two old Korean traditional houses(Hanok), called Seongchunje(over 200 years old) and Cheonrije(more than 100 years old).

Both of them were in Jamsil area(Seoul) until 1984, but they were at risk of extinction due to the urban development project.

The owner, Mr. Rho and his family had decided to preserve the cultural and historical heritage and moved those two houses to Jangnakwon.

It was not easy to move the houses as they were. It took 4 years by carpenters and craftsmen to transfer and restore them.

Finally, these old traditional houses were re-born to share the beauty of our heritage with many people and to make a home where people live together. 

Our place is highly recommended for those who want to escape from crazy city life and those who want to enjoy the surreptitious getaway as if time is stopped.
